India’s cricket captain, Rohit Sharma, and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah recently unveiled the national team’s new T20 jersey and training kit for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The tournament, scheduled to commence on June 2 and hosted by the USA and the West Indies, will see India’s first match against Ireland on June 5 in New York.
The new jersey, revealed by the BCCI’s kit partner Adidas, features an orange hue near the shoulders, a departure from the previous all-blue design. The signature three white stripes remain intact, while the Dream 11 logo is conspicuously absent from the sleeves. The BCCI emblem adorns the jersey with a single star above it, symbolizing India’s T20 World Cup victory in 2007 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.
The unveiling event showcased not only the jersey but also the accompanying training kit and tracksuits. The training shirt sports a blue base with striking streaks of black and lime on the sides, while the navy blue track suit is accentuated with lime borders.
In a video shared by the BCCI, Rohit Sharma and Jay Shah were seen inspecting the attire at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They were joined by an Adidas executive, and Rohit Sharma was captured signing a jersey personalized with his name.

Rohit Sharma, aiming to emulate Dhoni’s feat and secure India’s first T20 World Cup title since 2007, will lead the team in the tournament. With a strong squad at his disposal, Rohit Sharma seeks to end India’s ICC trophy drought, which dates back to the Champions Trophy victory in 2013.
India’s campaign in the T20 World Cup will commence on June 5 against Ireland in New York, followed by a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 9. The group stage also includes Canada and co-hosts USA, promising thrilling encounters for cricket fans worldwide.
