2 Indian Army Soldiers Killed, 6 Injured After Speeding Bus Collides With Auto-Rickshaw in Nagpur

Two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives after a speeding private bus collided with an auto-rickshaw in Maharashtra's Nagpur district on Sunday evening.

Nagpur: In a tragic accident on Sunday evening, two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives after a speeding private bus collided with an auto-rickshaw in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district. The incident occurred at the Kanhan River Bridge in Nagpur.

Details of the Accident

The collision led to the death of two jawans and injured seven others, including six army personnel and the driver of the auto-rickshaw. The injured individuals were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police Statement

Pramod Pore, Police Inspector at Old Kamptee Police Station, confirmed the details of the incident to the news agency ANI. He stated, “Two jawans of the Indian Army died and 7 including 6 jawans and an auto driver injured after a speeding private bus collided with an auto-rickshaw at Kanhan River Bridge in Nagpur, today, evening.”

Emergency Response

Following the collision, emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The injured were quickly transported to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. The condition of the injured soldiers and the auto-rickshaw driver remains a concern, and medical teams are working to provide the best possible care.

The police have initiated an investigation into the accident to determine the cause and circumstances leading up to the collision. Preliminary reports suggest that the high speed of the bus may have been a contributing factor.
