DUBAI: The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has achieved a landmark accomplishment by securing accreditations in four prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. This achievement positions Dubai Culture as the first cultural institution globally to receive such extensive recognition, underscoring its commitment to international best practices in the cultural sector.
The certifications obtained include:
- Business Continuity Management Systems (ISO 22301:2019)
- Risk Management Systems (ISO 31000:2018)
- Collaborative Business Relationships Management Systems (ISO 44001:2017)
- Governance Management Systems (ISO 37000:2021)
These certifications were awarded following rigorous audits conducted by Lloyds Registered Quality Assurance (LRQA). They highlight Dubai Culture’s dedication to maintaining high standards across various management systems, reinforcing its status as a leading arts and cultural hub both regionally and globally.

Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, emphasized the importance of these certifications, stating, “Being awarded these certifications is a significant addition to the Authority’s achievements and a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to develop our work mechanisms, implement all quality systems, and achieve sustainable corporate excellence across various administrative systems. Dubai Culture will continue to strive for a brighter future, exploring opportunities with full dedication towards implementing international best practices and harnessing sustainable excellence fundamentals.”
Badri further noted that the certifications affirm Dubai Culture’s possession of an integrated management system with a clear methodology in partnership and crisis management, focusing on corporate governance and its various applications. This reflects the effectiveness of Dubai Culture’s strategies for fostering an inclusive work environment and enriching the local cultural and artistic scene.
Rashed Aref Al Shaikh, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department at Dubai Culture, highlighted the extensive efforts made by the Authority to enhance organizational and administrative performance.
