In the midst of the fervent campaigning for the Lok Sabha Elections, Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, found himself embroiled in a heated controversy following a viral video capturing him pushing a party worker from the stage.

The video, which quickly circulated online, depicted Tej Pratap Yadav and his sister Misa Bharti, who recently filed her nomination papers for the Patlipura seat, waving to supporters during a celebratory gathering. While sharing the stage with other RJD leaders, including their mother Rabri Devi, Tej Yadav engaged in a scuffle with a worker and forcefully pushed him away from the stage in apparent anger.

Surrounded by RJD party workers wearing green caps, who attempted to intervene and prevent further altercation, Tej Pratap Yadav was eventually escorted away from the stage by the crowd.

The incident sparked widespread outrage on social media, with critics, particularly RJD opponents, condemning Tej Pratap Yadav’s behavior, particularly given the heightened tensions during the election season.

The event occurred following RJD President Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti filing her nomination papers for the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, where she aims to challenge her father’s former confidant Ram Kripal Yadav, now a member of the BJP. Accompanied by Prasad, Rabri Devi, and other senior party leaders, Bharti filed her nomination papers for the third consecutive time, seeking to secure victory in the rural areas of Patna district.

Following the nomination filing, a rally was organized at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in the city to rally support for Bharti, who also serves as a second-term Rajya Sabha MP.

As the election fervor intensifies, incidents like this underscore the charged atmosphere of political campaigning, with emotions running high and confrontations often making headlines amidst the electoral battle.
