India to Play Bangladesh in T20 World Cup Warm-up Match on June 1

India will take on Bangladesh in their T20 World Cup warm-up fixture in the USA on June 1, the International Cricket Council announced on Friday.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that India will face Bangladesh in a T20 World Cup warm-up match on June 1 in the USA. The specific venue and time for this fixture are yet to be confirmed.

Seventeen of the 20 teams will play warm-up games slated from May 27 till June 1 across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago, the ICC stated.

Seventeen of the 20 participating teams will engage in warm-up matches scheduled from May 27 to June 1 across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. The ICC stated that these games would not carry T20I status, allowing teams to field all 15 members of their squads.

Notable Absences

Defending champions England, runners-up Pakistan, and semi-finalists New Zealand will not participate in warm-up matches. England will be hosting Pakistan in a four-match bilateral series starting May 22, while New Zealand will begin their campaign directly against Afghanistan on June 8 after a tour in Pakistan.

  • Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Texas
  • Broward County Stadium, Florida
  • Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago
  • Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad and Tobago
