In the midst of the controversy surrounding the alleged assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised questions about the role of Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. BJP leader Shazia Ilmi questioned whether Kumar acted on Kejriwal’s instructions and demanded to know what action has been taken against him.

Ilmi further pressed Kejriwal to clarify the truth behind the incident at his residence on May 13 and expressed concern about Maliwal’s safety and silence. She questioned why no FIR has been filed yet and whether Maliwal is being coerced into silence or compromise.

Echoing Ilmi’s concerns, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala highlighted the seriousness of the incident happening under the nose of the Chief Minister and its implications for women’s safety in Delhi. He criticized AAP’s silence on the matter and labeled the party as an “Anti-Women Anarchist Party.”

Meanwhile, BJP leaders and workers staged a protest near Kejriwal’s residence, demanding a thorough investigation into the incident. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva questioned why Kejriwal had not filed a police complaint despite AAP leader Sanjay Singh admitting to the incident.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its criticism of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) following the alleged assault on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. BJP leaders have raised concerns about the conduct of Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and questioned whether he acted under Kejriwal’s directives. The BJP is demanding transparency and accountability from the AAP leadership regarding the incident, expressing worry about Maliwal’s safety and the silence surrounding the matter.

Details:

  1. Questioning AAP’s Integrity: BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has publicly raised doubts about the role of Bibhav Kumar and demanded to know if he acted on Kejriwal’s instructions. Ilmi’s remarks suggest a lack of trust in the AAP’s commitment to women’s safety and integrity.
  2. Demand for Transparency: Ilmi has called on Kejriwal to provide clarity on the events of May 13 and questioned why no action has been taken against Kumar. She emphasized the importance of Maliwal’s safety and urged Kejriwal to break his silence on the matter.
  3. Concerns about Women’s Safety: Shehzad Poonawala, another BJP spokesperson, has echoed Ilmi’s concerns, highlighting the seriousness of an assault allegedly occurring under the Chief Minister’s supervision. Poonawala expressed apprehension about the safety of women in Delhi and criticized AAP’s handling of the situation.
  4. Labeling AAP as “Anti-Women”: Poonawala’s remarks have escalated the rhetoric, branding AAP as an “Anti-Women Anarchist Party.” This characterization suggests a broader criticism of AAP’s governance and ideological stance.
  5. Protest and Calls for Action: In response to the incident, BJP leaders and workers have organized protests near Kejriwal’s residence, demanding a thorough investigation. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva has questioned the lack of a police complaint from Kejriwal despite admissions from AAP leaders.

Conclusion:
The BJP’s criticism of AAP reflects growing concerns about governance, transparency, and women’s safety in Delhi. The party’s accusations against AAP underscore the political implications of the assault row and its potential impact on public trust in the ruling party. As the controversy unfolds, calls for accountability and action are likely to intensify, shaping the narrative around AAP’s governance and commitment to women’s rights.
