A Qatar Airways flight bound for Ireland from Doha encountered severe turbulence, leaving 12 passengers injured, Dublin Airport authorities reported on Sunday.

The incident occurred during the flight, causing injuries to both passengers and crew members. The aircraft managed to land safely at its scheduled time, despite the turbulence.

Emergency services, including Airport Police and the Fire and Rescue department, were on standby as the aircraft touched down. They attended to the six passengers and six crew members who reported injuries after experiencing turbulence over Turkey while airborne.

The statement issued by Dublin Airport emphasized the immediate response and assistance provided to those affected. As investigations continue into the cause of the turbulence, passengers and crew are receiving necessary medical attention.

The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of air travel and the importance of safety measures in ensuring the well-being of passengers and crew during flights.
